While working he also found time to participate in the Rotary Club, serving as President.He helped with fundraisers like the spaghetti dinners and Camp Star for underprivileged children. His pride was belonging to the "Watkins Glen Tomorrow" project, in which his "baby" was helping to develop the waterfront of Seneca Lake and designing the now world-famous pier at the south end.She was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Fern Chapter #142, and the Montour Falls Moose.She was a member of the Odessa-Catharine United Methodist Church for many years and served as finance secretary and Parish Treasurer.She enjoyed being a Longaberger Consultant for several years and cherished her handmade baskets.She was a dedicated member of Southern Finger Lakes Women (Formerly BPW) and served in local and district officer positions, and was named their Woman of the Year in 2005.
They courted, then married and began the journey of building a family.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Diana Davis; daughters, Jessica Davis-West (Michael), Jennifer Davis, and Tina Davis (Brad Smith); four grandchildren, Jade and Kyle West, Courtney Davis and Natalie Smith; great granddaughter, Serena West; sisters, Sandra Davis, Diane (Randy) Carns, Carol (Wayne) Kinner, Cindy Miller, and Becky (James) Johnston; brothers, Dale (Kathy) Davis, Harry (Gloria) Davis, Ransome Davis, and Dana (Carol) Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Union Cemetery of Burdett later in the spring.
